I have ten years experience with my remote cabin solar power system which has taught me a lot about solar panels. The rule of thumb is that you can expect a panel output to be 80% of rated because the rated values are laboratory perfect measurements. I measured the volts and amps out on my Rich 250 expecting a bit more than 5 amps but in fact was seeing 6 amps or nearly 90% of rated. Volts out were 40 DC which exceeded the rated value by 8%. This was in direct sunlight with clear air at midday and 300ft ASL.

I commend Rich for their packaging methods too. The carton was innovative because of its padding and easy open fastening and yet maintaining a slim form factor in height, width, and thickness.

My only regret is that it is 4 inches shorter than my legacy system with the crippled panel I plan to replace with this one. That means the Rich panel will be a little non-symmetric along side the other panels I have mounted on a rotatable panel column. Oh, well, only me and the cows and wildlife will see that.

All of your panels always show up undamaged, in excellent condition. Have another one inbound now. I will have 12 panels (8x200 and 4x250) on the roof of my travel trailer (2600 watts). Had to get rid of roof ACs and now have a Pioneer dual zone mini split mounted on the tongue and two units (ac and heat) indoors. Can run completely on solar and batteries (4x206AH SOK LiFePho) - and listen to tv and conversation at normal volume levels! Had to add an auto transformer to convert 240v to split phase, but all if Good!??
