How soon can I expect the delivery?
You will receive the package within 3 to 5 business days after placing the order.
Do I need a self-heating lithium battery?
We've had customers use this battery when skiing ice fishing or doing other various winter activities. You can use and discharge Sunrich lithium batteries in cold temperatures, but a self-heated battery might be what you want if you plan to charge it in the cold.
How does the self-heating work?
The self-heating function is activated by the BMS when the battery is connected to a charger at temperatures between -20℃ and 5℃ (-4℉ to 41℉). The heating stops once the battery reaches 10℃ (50℉).
What are the differences between Self-Heating and Low-temperature protection batteries?
These two series primarily address the charging issues of LiFePO4 lithium batteries in cold weather. The main difference between the Low-Temperature series and the Self-Heating series lies in the presence of an automatic Battery Management System (BMS) heating module. The Self-Heating series allows the battery to self-warm without any action required from the user while charging.
Does the lithium battery charge while heating?
No. Charging starts once the battery heats up to 10℃ (50℉).
Can the Sunrich self-heating lithium battery be charged while heating?
Yes. The Sunrich self-heating LiFePO4 lithium battery can discharge if it has power while heating. However, we don't recommend discharging during the heating process, as it may harm the performance and lifespan of the battery.
Can I add heating facilities to help with external heating?
External heating only heats the casing and does not heat the battery cells. In conditions of -20°C, after external heating for two hours, the battery cells temperature rise to 5°C, but the lead-acid casing temperature has risen to 70-80°C. Therefore, it is not recommended to externally heat the battery, as the actual cell temperature cannot be determined at this time.
Are Sunrich LiFePO4 Lithium batteries safe?
Yes. LiFePO4 is an inherently safe chemistry and the most stable lithium-type battery on the market. Sunrich lithium cells are UL certified for the highest safety and sustainability standards. All Sunrich LiFePO4 batteries come with an internal Battery Management System which protects against under-voltage during discharge, over-voltage during charge, over-current during discharge, over-temperature during charge and discharge, and short-circuit protection – protects battery cells from damage. Additionally, Sunrich LiFePO4 Lithium batteries have been tested to be free from the risk of fire, and electric shock in harsh environments.
Can I use this Sunrich LiFePO4 battery as a starting battery?
No. This Sunrich LiFePO4 battery is designed for energy storage and is not intended for starting applications. It should not be used to start any devices.
Can I charge self-heating lithium batteries in cold weather (below freezing temperatures)?
Yes. The self-heating lithium battery can safely charge in temperatures ranging from -20℃ to 50℃ (-4℉ to 122℉). The built-in self-heating pad will automatically activate to heat the battery.
How do I store Sunrich LiFePO4 lithium batteries?
It is recommended to store Sunrich LiFePO4 batteries at 50% state of charge (SOC). For long-term storage, cycle the batteries at least every 6 months to maintain battery health. The recommended storage environment is between 10℃ and 35℃ (50℉ to 95℉), with humidity levels between 45% RH and 75% RH.
What should I do if the lithium battery shuts off due to a low state of charge (SOC)?
If your battery shuts off due to low SOC, disconnect the loads immediately and recharge it as soon as possible to prevent damage. Monitoring your lithium battery's SOC and recharging it when it reaches 50% SOC helps maximize usable energy per cycle while minimizing strain on the battery. This SOC balancing significantly extends the lifespan of your lithium deep cycle battery.
How can I check the percentage left after using my battery?
1. Bluetooth App: Download the app by scanning the QR code on the side of the battery to check the remaining charge. 2. Battery Monitor: You can install a separate Battery Monitor to track the battery's percentage, voltage, and health.
How much is the VAT charge % when shipping to Ohio?
